It's King Felix vs. Kevin Millwood. I think this game goes under both pitchers are solid pitchers during day starts. King Felix has a 1.89 ERA from last year during day starts and he's been much better pitching on the road than at home witha 3.05 ERA on the road this year. Millwood also a stud during day starts with a 2.86 ERA last year and a 3.73 in his last 3 combined.
Felix has a 1.25 ERA in his last 5 starts vs. Baltimore including a complete game shut out this year vs. the O's. Baltimore has struggled to hit with a .178 average and 1.78 runs per 9 in their last 5 vs. RHP while pitching with a 2.92 bullpen ERA. SEA has not been much better with a .234 average and 3.52 runs per 9 vs. RHP with a bullpen of 1.59.
Sanchez opened up at -130 and is moving up like crazy despite the Giants losing the first two here. Sanchez though has been dominent in 7 career starts vs. the Padres holding them to a .141 average and posting a 2.45 ERA with 52 K's in 44 IP. Latos goes up against Sanchez and he's got a 7.36 ERA during day starts in 2009 and 5.79 ERA this year as well as a 5.94 ERA on the road. He's got a shut out against the Giants this year in his only start, but that's in San Diego a pitchers dream park. Both teams are quite similar, in that they pitch first with a great bullpen and hit second. I think the dominance that Sanchez has had along with being the home team is a major advantage. So far this year the Giants have played better during the day than they have at night and they are 10-3 in their last 13 home vs. RH starter.
